The La Sportiva Glacier WLF Boot is a wildland fire boot for working the mountains in forest management and post fire clean up. While NOT designed for front line firefighting, these boots have the power in the soles to resist 300°C, glued to the boot with a heat resistant glue of 70°C. The upper comes past the ankle with the eight inch height requirement, meeting federal standards for wildland firefighting, so strap up and stay safe! I paid over $300 new. I have used these on one fire and found them really comfortable. Size men’s 7. I usually wear a women’s 8.5-9. I no longer have my red card, so don’t need them.
